Programs
Three programs, one piece of community infrastructure.
Our events are the front door. Behind them sits a vetted network of partners and a pipeline that holds those partners accountable. Each program feeds the next.
How it connects
From the front door to real service.
Walk through the front door
People meet BPMKE at a culturally grounded event where they feel affirmed from the start.
Get connected
A Community Navigator makes a warm introduction to a vetted partner who fits what they need.
Get served with dignity
That partner has been assessed and trained, so every individual they're called to serve is met with care and competency.
Program one
Cultural Programming
Culturally grounded gatherings that bring people together across zip codes, generations, and lived experiences. They're our front door and our trust engine, and Preferred Community Partners are on site so every connection has somewhere to go next.
- Black Pride Night at PrideFest
- Community Impact Awards
- Community drives and seasonal events
How we measure it: attendance, partner connections made on site, and how many attendees report feeling affirmed and connected.
Program two
The Resource Network
Our Community Navigator makes warm introductions to vetted partners, and no referral is complete until the person was actually served. It's the connective tissue between the people we meet and the help that already exists.
- Community Navigator
- Preferred Partner Directory
- Quarterly Resource Gatherings
- Talent Pipeline (in development)
How we measure it: introductions made, and how many end with the person actually served.
Program three
The Capacity Building Pipeline
Every organization in our directory is assessed, trained, and held accountable, in partnership with Ubuntu Research and Evaluation. This is the work behind the work, and it's how a partner earns the Preferred Community Partner designation.
- Organizational assessment
- Cultural competency training
- Preferred Community Partner designation
- Ongoing accountability check-ins
How we measure it: organizations assessed, trained, and designated, and the quality of service reported by the people they serve.
